We’re a Community-Led Organization — and That Means You.

We poured hours into researching the best ways to serve our community — listening, learning, and reflecting. But after all that work, we landed on something simple and powerful: the best approach is you. Your ideas. Your leadership. Your voice.

Nineveh Rising is a community-led organization. That means we don’t just serve our community — we are the community. Everything we do is shaped by the people we’re here for. We built our mission, vision, and values with care, but we quickly realized something even more important: we can’t fulfill them without you.

We want your ideas. We want your decision-making. We want your leadership.

If you know a better way to meet our goals — tell us. If you see a need no one is addressing — show us. If you’ve been waiting for someone to ask you to lead — this is it. Our doors are open. Literally. Come visit our office. Let us show you around and hear what’s on your mind.

Letting the Community Decide — For Real

A perfect example? Our 2024 annual Christmas fundraiser. Instead of choosing the village ourselves, we opened it up to community voting on social media — and the response was incredible. It felt like we had a massive team behind us, all rallying to make something beautiful happen together.

That’s what being community-led looks like in action. On our end, we’ll keep doing what we do best: organizing, informing, and building the tools you need to get involved. But the direction? The spark? The ideas? That’s you.

What’s Next? You Tell Us.

We have big dreams for 2025 — but they’re only meaningful if they reflect your priorities.

We’re currently planning projects in education, health, economic development, and cultural preservation. But we don’t want to guess what matters most to you — we want you to tell us. Want to see more job training programs? A local heritage archive? A health clinic? Let’s talk.

We’re building a future together — and that means you have a seat at the table from day one. Not just when we’re ready to “share results,” but when we’re brainstorming, budgeting, and building.

More Ways We’re Putting the Community First

  • Nineveh Finance: Our microloan program was designed based on real feedback from aspiring entrepreneurs in Iraq who told us access to capital was their biggest hurdle. Now, every repayment from a successful small business goes right back into funding the next one.

  • Nineveh Health: Before launching any health initiatives, we’re conducting needs assessments directly in the villages we serve. No assumptions. Just listening first, acting second.

  • Nineveh Academy: We’re developing a K–12 heritage curriculum — not behind closed doors, but with input from teachers, parents, and elders who know our culture best.

  • Village Revitalization Program: We launched our first project in Tel Keppe — not because we chose it, but because the community reached out to us first. That’s exactly how we want it to work. This program is open to anyone who wants to revitalize their village or ancestral town. If there’s a place close to your heart, we’re here to support you in bringing it back to life — together.

Each of these programs is shaped by the same belief: the people closest to the challenges are closest to the solutions.

What’s your dream for our homeland? Tell us. Let’s make it real, together.
